STILL LIFE
PHOTOGRAPHY
PROJECT
For this project I didn't really have a specific idea in mind, but I knew I wanted to do something strange that would automatically give an impression of disorder or noise. Initially, I created a rather "organized" sculpture and, while taking photos, I moved it around in all perspectives, until the initial sculpture looked nothing like the one in the photo.

As the project progressed, I realized that the image gave the impression of having been created by an artificial intelligence, as objects are difficult to identify if you don't take the time to look at them in detail.

I came up with the idea of raising the camera a little to take the object at a higher angle, so that the shadow would be much longer and better captured by the camera. In these images, shadow is the main factor, and when editing, I tried to keep the images connected to each other, which led me to play with image rotation, zooming and cropping.

The photographs were taken as part of a Photography course led by Swiss photographer Cyril Porchet.
